In memory of Chuck DeRieux

All about Chuck!

What is "Where The F*ck's Chuck!"
WTFC is a music festival and a way for us to celebrate the life of Chuck DeRieux (Pronounced: Doo-row).
Who is hosting this event?
Red Tide, a local rock band directly effected by the loss of Chuck.
Who is Chuck you might ask? His handsome face graces the main page of this website. Chuck is Drew DeRieux's father. Drew is the guitarist, vocalist , and one of the founding members of Red Tide.Charles O. "Chuck" DeRieux was born March 15, 1944, in Vanport, OR. Chuck passed away March 16, 2022, in Greenville, SC. At the age of 10, he and his family moved to Netarts, OR, where they purchased the Terrimore Motel. Chuck would often recount the fond memories of Netarts Bay, helping his parents run the Terrimore Motel, and how he enjoyed his flat bottom boat.In 1962, Chuck graduated from Tillamook High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he was an Air Traffic Controller. While in the Marines, Chuck met the love of his life, Brenda Jean Blanton. The two were married on August 18, 1968.The two started their family in July of 1972 when they were blessed with their first son, Roland. Chuck went on to get his BS in Forestry in 1977 from Oregon State University. Then in October 1978 they were blessed with their second son Drew. After owning a business for several years, Chuck became the maintenance engineer at Tillamook Jr. High. Chuck was never one to not help if help was needed. He treated Brandon and Mike like family. Chuck could be seen standing upstairs of the Tillamook County Fairgrounds Convention Center and would usually be holding a video camera filming Red Tide performing on the stage in the courtyard.Chuck is missed and we owe a lot to him for his selflessness, guidance, patience, kindness, and his willingness to be the dad we all needed. Here's to you Chuck!
